Brian holds degrees in Geophysics from Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela (B.Eng.), China University of Petroleum in Beijing (M.Sc.), and Western University in Canada (Ph.D.) where he worked on full-waveform inversion and various signal-processing techniques to improve the imaging of crystalline structures and facilitate a better understanding of mineralization pathways.

Brian served as a Project Geophysicist for over five years at Venezuelan national oil company, PDVSA, using his expertise in signal analysis, seismic interpretation, and reservoir modeling in the Monagas Thrust and Orinoco Belts, hosts to the largest oil deposits in the world. During this time, he also supervised two 3C-3D seismic acquisition projects and well-drilling operations. Before transitioning to Canada, he continued his work in the industry with the Kerui Petroleum Group and the QITeam International service company in China.

As our Senior Geophysicist, Brian’s expert-perspective and enthusiasm for contributing to Novamera’s mission make him an invaluable member of our team.
