With his passion for anticipating how emerging technology can solve problems, Charlie devises marketing strategies to successfully establish new start-ups and has led investments, and sat on the boards of GlassPoint, MineSense and Primus Power. He is a current board director for GaN Systems and past board director at Axine Water Technologies.

Prior to joining Chrysalix, Charlie used his technology, sales and marketing background in his role as co-founder and VP Business Development and Product Marketing of Soliant Energy, a California-based solar energy start-up developing new PV modules with leading energy density. At Soliant Energy, he also led product-market fit and early customer development.

Charlie has a Ph.D. in optoelectronics and materials science from the University of Southampton. He also holds an MBA from Berkeley where he was a Haas Venture Capital Fellow and Sainsbury Management Fellow.
