Mohammad has taught more than 25 courses in engineering and data science and has more than 50 publication records in engineering (including chemical/petroleum/energy) and data science. He has numerous industrial and academic leadership experiences in working with large/small teams and supervising grad/undergrad students.

Mohammad earned his Master and Ph.D. degree in engineering (specialization: petroleum engineering) from the University of Calgary in Canada. He has more than 5 years of applied data science/machine learning experience and more than 11 years of professional experience in industry and academia.

Mohammad is proficient in scientific programming as well as working on data and data-driven algorithms. He has implemented and developed supervised/unsupervised machine learning algorithms on numerous datasets. He has also applied deep learning neural network algorithms for computer vision, NLP problems and time series data.

Outside the office, Mohammad enjoys hiking and biking with family, and volunteering activities.
