In a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style event at the Mining Tech Market, Novamera won in the category of companies that can ‘ Increase Mine Production at a Lower Cost’ with Surgical Mining Technologies.

The event took place in St John’s Newfoundland on June 20th and was hosted by MICA and techNL and was meant to highlight the emerging technologies available to mining companies in Atlantic Canada.

“Events like this are essential to encourage dialogue and collaboration, says Theresa Quick, VP of Marketing.  “We were thrilled to be able to share our technology with the industry and learn about the innovative solutions being brought to market. The industry is under incredible pressure to deliver, embracing new technology is going to be key to overcoming some of the industry’s biggest challenges, including the ability to increase mine production.”

Novamera’s surgical mining technologies allow mining companies to add to production quickly and sustainably by unlocking previously uneconomic narrow vein deposits. Often these deposits are located within or on the periphery of existing mining operations, allowing companies to leverage existing infrastructure and permits.

The proprietary hardware and software solutions integrate into conventional drilling equipment to provide real-time production analytics and increased orebody knowledge and operational flexibility while unlocking assets that would otherwise be left unmined.

About Novamera

Novamera develops innovative technologies that enable ‘surgical mining’ of complex, steeply dipping narrow veins. The proprietary technology works together and makes conventional drilling equipment ‘smart,’ able to precisely identify, navigate and extract high-value deposits- to allow for increased production both quickly and sustainably.
